Diesel Technician

Position Details
Pay Range: $50000 - $65000 annually negotiable based on experience
Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Reports To: Fleet Maintenance Manager
Pay Frequency: Weekly pay via Direct Deposit

Key Responsibilities
Perform advanced diagnostics repairs and maintenance on diesel vehicles including engines transmissions steering and brake systems
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and conduct failure analysis using precision tools (micrometers multimeters and diagnostic equipment)
Lead and manage the daily workflow of shop mechanics serving as the senior/lead technician
Ensure compliance with DOT EPA ICC and OSHA regulations
Maintain accurate records of services performed parts used and repair times
Conduct safety inspections and preventive maintenance
Assist with roadside service calls and breakdowns as needed
Mentor and support technicians promoting teamwork and efficiency
Maintain a clean safe and organized shop environment
Qualifications
1-3 years of diesel mechanic experience
ASE Diesel Certification (preferred)
Valid CDL Class B license (preferred)
Advanced knowledge of diesel engines systems and diagnostic equipment
Strong leadership organizational and communication skills
High attention to detail and proficiency with repair tools
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment
Required to provide own standard mechanic tools necessary for diesel repair
