Job Duties:

Delivers and assists with planning conferences and trainings both on and off the UWSP campuses strengthens and supports partnerships with internal and external stakeholders ensures adherence to policy and assists with program administration to promote stable and productive relationships between the university and regional community. Schedules and secures resources and communicates conference logistics. Assists with the monitoring of conference revenue and expenses.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Develops and evaluates curriculum and programs and provides recommendations for improvement
  • Identifies promotes and maintains external partnerships to support the outreach program
  • Researches develops and facilitates outreach program content and materials
  • Delivers outreach program content and materials to community members
  • Leads the implementation of programs policies and procedures through oversight of day-to-day activities for program staff and student and community volunteers
  • Schedules and secures resources and communicates logistics in support of an outreach program
  • May assist with the monitoring of outreach program budget spending

Ranging from $43888-$50000 based on education and experience

Required Qualifications:

  • One year of experience in event planning and execution in person virtual and/or hybrid.
  • Experience supporting professional conferences and/or workshops.
  • Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to act as a resource for provide customer service in a courteous manner and work effectively with diverse groups of people at various levels both internal and external to the university.
  • Ability to work independently and oversee multiple tasks simultaneously capably and confidently both virtually and in-person. Ability to work as part of a successful team.
  • Experience coordinating event AV equipment.
  • Experience building and editing websites.
  • Experience working with boards planning groups or professional organizations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint Zoom and other university software.
  • Ability to drive a state vehicle.
  • Ability and willingness to travel overnight up to 6 nights per month. (Average is approximately 2 nights per month.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited four-year university.
  • 2 years of demonstrated success in the coordination implementation and logistical support management of educational programs or event planning.
  • Experience coordinating technology for live-streamed educational programming or events.
  • Experience in building relationships with a broad range of partners.
  • Experience working with WHOVA or other conference management apps.

Terms of Employment:

This is an on-going academic staff position exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act.
