The Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency (MLGCA) serves as one of the largest revenue sources for the State of Maryland supporting important state programs and services including education public health and safety human resources and the addition to generating revenue from the sale of lottery products the MLGCA is also responsible for the oversight of the states casino gaming program providing direction and guidance to its casino partners on financial security regulatory and licensing procedures for the facilities. The Agency also regulates Sports Wagering Daily Fantasy Sports and Electronic Bingo as well as Instant Ticket Lottery Machines which are located at almost 90 Veterans posts. Gaming in Maryland is a dynamic and growing business that operates around the clock 365 days of the year.

POSITION DUTIES
A Sports Wagering Compliance Supervisor is responsible for performing the same duties at the Maryland Lottery licensed gaming facilities as the Sports Wagering Compliance Representatives perform. Employees in this class are responsible for receiving complaints from the public; monitoring facility employees and vendors and ensuring that various aspects of the sports wagering and ITLM internal controls security plans surveillance plans and responsible gaming plans are adhered to; perform licensing functions and ensure the integrity of the gaming addition employees in this class are responsible for conducting investigations when warranted into the following: operation of the sports wagering betting windows and kiosks; operation of ITLMs located within Veteran Halls; operation of Electronic Bingos within Bingo Halls employee terminations; COMAR and ICS violations; criminal activity and any other investigations as Lottery and Gaming may deem necessary.
- Review edit and approve compliance reports to ensure accuracy completeness and adherence to all department requirements.
- Develop and maintain monthly work schedules for compliance representatives ensuring efficient coverage and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Track and proactively request necessary supplies to maintain smooth25operations within the compliance department.
- Act as a liaison between compliance representatives and other departments within the agency.
- Meet with compliance representatives during daily site visits to provide personalized feedback deliver targeted training and answer any operational or compliance-related questions.
- Approve leave requests from compliance representatives while ensuring adequate staffing levels are maintained to fulfill department responsibilities.
- Review and approve bi-weekly time submissions from compliance representatives for accuracy and adherence to agency policies.
- Address any issues or concerns that arise between compliance representatives and facility personnel fostering effective communication and collaboration.
- Observe job performance of Compliance Representatives and prepare performance evaluations (P.E.P.) for each employee.
- Implement appropriate disciplinary actions if necessary to address identified deficiencies and ensure employees adhere to performance standards and regulatory protocols.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: Four years of experience in administrative staff or professional staff work.
Notes:
1. Candidates may substitute the completion of 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and three years of experience in administrative staff or professional staff work for the required experience.
2. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university for the required experience.
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non- commissioned officer involving staff work requiring regular use of independent judgment and analysis in applying and interpreting rules and regulations in accordance with agency laws and policies on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. At least one year of experience conducting regulatory compliance work.
2. At least one year of experience involving duties associated with gaming.

6. At least one year of investigataive experience.
