TPF Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with an independent progressive accountancy practice in Epsom to recruit a Manager. This is a senior position within a structured partner team offering exposure to a wide variety of client work and excellent career progression opportunities.
The firm provides a comprehensive suite of audit accounts and tax services with a clear structure from trainees through to partners. They pride themselves on progressive systems modern working practices and a collaborative culture.
About the Role
In this role you will manage client portfolios across audit accounts and tax ensuring technical excellence and the development of junior staff. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing audit engagements and preparing statutory and annual accounts
- Preparing and reviewing corporation and personal tax computations and returns
- Conducting risk assessments and testing key controls
- Reviewing and mentoring junior and mid-level staff ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Preparing management letters and reporting audit findings to clients
- Supporting partners with business development and client portfolio management
- Maintaining strong client relationships and delivering proactive advice
- Ensuring compliance with professional standards accounting regulations and internal processes
- Promoting efficient working practices and process improvements across the team
Requirements
Who Were Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- ACA or ACCA qualification
- Extensive experience in accounts and tax within a practice environment; audit experience preferred.
- Demonstrable experience reviewing and supervising junior staff
- Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standards
- Excellent client management and leadership skills
- Commercial awareness and confidence managing complex workloads
- Familiarity with modern accounting software and systems
