The Team
Thought Leadership provides the environmental expertise that drives the evolution of CDPs disclosure system and its impact. The team leads research and analysis of CDP data and other sources to generate insights that inform decisions across business finance and policy. Thought Leadership represents CDP in key stakeholder engagements and expert fora spearheading strategic partnerships and projects and contributing actively to the development and application of environmental science standards and frameworks.
The Sustainable Business team delivers CDPs thought leadership relating to the development of corporate and financial sustainable business practices. This involves leading the development of CDPs approach to sustainable finance resource management and circular economy sectors SMEs and other key business perspectives and deploying the insights generated by the data to drive impact according to CDPs theory of change.
About this role
The Nature Engagement Manager will support CDPs mission to mainstream nature-related sustainability action. The successful candidate will engage internal and external CDP stakeholders to outline best practice approaches to nature-related disclosure and action including a focus on Landscape and Jurisdictional approaches. This role is tied to CDPs intention to expand our disclosure universe and corporate reporting to all relevant environmental topics across Nature and resources.
Working with the Head of Sustainable Business and Nature teams the role will focus on capacity building for internal and external CDP stakeholders through preparation of materials delivery of webinars and direct engagement with CDP disclosing companies.
What you will do
Oversee development of a CDP stakeholder global engagement strategy on Nature. This work will include internal consultation with relevant CDP functions and regions and should include a specific focus on the Asia Pacific and Latin America regions.
Establish a capacity building programme to educate CDP staff and CDP external stakeholders on how to effectively adopt landscape and jurisdictional approaches and broader Nature-related action.
Use CDP data to identify areas to improve disclosure quality against core Nature metrics.
Understand and provide relevant Nature-related disclosure metrics for commercial products including those for supply chain and financial institutions.
Develop and disseminate tools and materials to support strategic targeted engagement
Support CDP account managers engaging corporates and financial institutions on Nature-related topics
Collect ongoing feedback from CDP stakeholders internal and external to help strengthen the business case for Nature-related action and to help improve the CDP questionnaire.

External stakeholders include: Corporate disclosers; Supply Chain members and Financial Institutions with an interest in plastics; NGOs data organisations and standards bodies with a remit covering plastics and the circular economy.
Were looking for
Demonstrable expertise in demonstrable expertise in nature-related issues ideally including a focus on landscape and jurisdictional approaches and how it relates to broader nature-related issues and the climate.
Experience of working to drive environmentalchange withinthe private sector ideally incompanies or financial institutions on nature-related topics.
Strong experience of leading the development of operational outcomes program strategies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentations to diverse audiences with different levels of understanding.
Proven experience of project management and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
A high level of self-motivation and drive.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with teams of individuals and colleagues

This is a hybrid role candidates will need to live within a commutable distance of the local office and be comfortable with 2 days in the office per week.
