WHHS Specific:

  • Tracking graduation testing requirement data to identify students with missing tests or inadequate scores for both Fall and Spring testing
  • Communicating with individual students and their families the why/when/where of above referenced testing
  • Coordinating the significant increase in both enrollment and students with approved testing accommodations and managing the impact of these increases on all testing events
  • Managing the tracking and attending to minute details with regard to AP Exam ordering in order to eliminate unnecessary expenditures. 2025 AP Exam invoice was just under $222000.
  • Navigating the significant and ongoing changes to the AP Program
    • Communicate changes to staff students and families
    • Implement all changes in a way that provides a seamless transition
  • Providing required written communication with District Testing and Assistant Superintendent outlining specific testing plans several weeks PRIOR to every District and State Testing window (MAP EOCs OELPA STAMPs etc.)
  • Providing data including the calculation of testing completion rates DURING and AFTER every District or State testing window.
  • Coordinating makeup testing for every testing event as well as finishing for the untimed MAP benchmark diagnostics.
  • Coordination of unique test requirements such as 2019 & 2024 NAEP testing

Test Coordinator Responsibilities as stated by District Testing Office

  • Planning and administration of all Pre-K to Grade 12 testing for your building.
  • Adherence to testing and assessments requirements established by National State and CPS policy.
  • Training staff on policies and procedures connected to all National State and Local standardized testing & assessment.
  • Reading & disseminating information in all testing updates.
  • Reading in full any test administration or coordination manuals for all Pre-K to Grade 12 National State and Local testing and assessment.
  • Secure and ethical implementation of Pre-K to Grade 12 building testing schedules.
  • Supporting staff in use of District assessment data tools like Performance Matters Unify PowerSchool and the Online Reporting System/Centralized Reporting System.
  • Supporting staff in use of any testing and assessment delivery platforms like TIDE.
  • Secure use and management of all student data.
  • Secure management of all testing materials and test storage area at all times.
  • Report testing irregularities and testing/security violations to the District Testing Managers.
  • Attending all building test coordinator meetings.
  • Coordinating with building case coordinator and intervention specialists around identifying and delivering identified testing accommodations for students with IEPs 504 plans and English learner plans in accordance with the Ohio Accessibility Manual.
  • Coordinating with building technology coordinator to prepare technology for testing and troubleshoot technology issues when they arise.
  • Coordination with building reading specialist around reading diagnostic assessments and Third Grade Reading Guarantee.
  • Coordinating with school counselors for scheduling and graduation implications of Ohio State testing.
  • Coordinating with ESL Specialists for testing and assessment needs of English learners.
  • Timely communication and response to requests for information from the District Testing & Assessment Department
