WTAE-TV the Hearst Televisionowned ABC affiliate in Pittsburgh is seeking a motivated Creative Services Intern to support the stations branding and promotional efforts. This internship offers hands-on experience working with a fast-paced collaborative Creative Services team responsible for developing on-air digital and community-facing promotions that reflect the WTAE brand.

As a Creative Services Intern you will assist with the creation of promotional content across platforms including on-air spots social media digital campaigns and station marketing initiatives. Youll collaborate with producers designers and marketing staff to support projects related to news promotion special events community outreach and station brandingoften working on deadlines that shift with the news cycle.
This role is fully in-person 5 days a week based at the WTAE station in Pittsburgh.
What Youll Do:- Assist in creating promotional materials for TV digital platforms and social media
- Support marketing projects connected to local news events and outreach
- Learn how to write and produce short promotional scripts for news stories
- Help with production on promotional video shoots both at the station and on location based on interest and availability
- Gain a better understanding of how local news stations serve their communities through research and observation
- Practice writing and communication skills in a professional setting
- Work on projects that may have an expedited/fast timeline depending on the news cycle
What Youll Bring:
- Interest in visual storytelling marketing or journalism
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite (such as Photoshop Premiere Pro or InDesign)
- Basic knowledge of video equipment or photography or an interest in learning more
- Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize projects based on need with support from your manager
- Interest in developing new skills and proactively ask questions to ensure clear understanding of tasks
- Experience (through school projects volunteering or freelance work) with writing media production or digital content creation. Open to all levels of experience.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a team
