Job Summary

Class C Manufacturing Mechanic/Technician (Dryer Technician)

Unitex is currently seeking a skilled Class C Manufacturing Mechanic/Technician to join our team in Newburgh NY. This position requires one year of mechanical work experience and has tremendous growth potential.

Compensation:$22 - $27 per/hr. The salary range for this position is $22.00/hour to $27.00/hour. Actual compensation decisions are based on factors such as experience seniority location and other permissible job-related factors.

Schedule: To be discussed during screening prior to interview based on seniority per Union Contract.

Responsibilities:

Spends a good part of the day maintaining and fixing industrial dryers.
Repairs carts maintains slings takes on small projects and performs routine maintenance and repairs on industrial laundry equipment including washers dryers and press machines.
Conducts preventive maintenance inspections to identify potential problems and ensure optimal equipment performance.
Collaborate with other team members to plan and execute equipment upgrades installations and modifications as needed..

Requirements:

Strong desire to learn industrial laundry maintenance and grow within the company.
Punctual and reliable a must - shift starts as early as 5:30 AM.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in a relevant field is preferred.
Minimum of 1 years of experience as a Class C Manufacturing Mechanic/Technician or similar role in an industrial setting.
Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems including troubleshooting and repair techniques.
Familiarity with safety protocols and practices in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate maintenance records.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and other departments.
