About the Team

The Health Support Team provide support to our multidisciplinary team comprising of Occupational Therapists Nurses Social Workers Psychologists and Counsellors. They are a hard working and motivated team who do the best for their clients this role is to support the team meet and greet the clients and help make the client feel calm and comfortable as soon as they walk through the doors. This team supports the bookings of appointments creation of service agreements financial tasks and general administration for Fortify Health Group and its associated entities

Essential Criteria

  • As the first point of contact the Health Service Officer will be calm and confident with the ability to identify if immediate support is required and ensure that any concerns or risks are highlighted to management as they arise from service users and support workers.
  • The role also provides daily administration tasks experience in answering the telephone helping with enquiries liaising with external providers and making bookings are essential
  • Triage referral forms received via website or email verify client details create client files and work with relevant team members
  • Create quotes and service agreements for NDIS services across the business
  • Monitor compliance with billing procedures and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Act as a liaison between practitioners and administrative teams to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Provide timely updates and escalate issues to management when necessary.
  • It requires great attention to detail and an analytical mind as in this role you will be providing a broad range of administrative support to the health division. Duties include but not limited to; client information management data entry reporting and financial processing for clinical services
  • Supporting health staff across a broad range of programs including NDIS Medicare and other clinical and community programs makes it an essential requirement that the person in this role has care compassion as well as cultural sensitivity.
  • It is essential that the Health Service Officer always represents Fortify Health Group in a professional and positive manner being well-groomed well-spoken and business like appearance is essential
  • An understanding of allied health and disability services would be desirable
  • High level of cultural competency and able to communicate in a culturally sensitive manner.
  • A vibrant nature a person who enjoys interacting with people daily
  • The ability to maintain a high professional and ethical profile in accordance with industry and organisational standards
  • Passionate about customer service and customer engagement
  • The successful application will be based from our Mount Gravatt office however must be flexible to cover our offices in Springwood as required.
  • Other duties as required to meet operational needs

To be successful you must posses

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in an administrative role within the community or health services sector is desirable but not essential
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and an ability to use a broad range of databases
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills with a flexible approach and demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to prioritise work multi task and be proactive.
  • Ability to work autonomously but also as a member of a team.
  • Understanding of Electronic Medical Records and the Australian health system desirable
  • A certificate in Office/Medical Administration or associated business discipline will be highly regarded.
  • Current Drivers License desired
  • Current QLD Paid Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screener or ability to obtain one
  • Rights to work in Australia
