Job Summary

Your role at St John of God Langmore Hospital

We are seeking an experienced Psychologist or an accredited Mental Health Social Worker to join our supportive and collaborative this role you will be based in our specialised outpatient clinic for emergency services and defence personnel providing one-on-one evidencebased shortterm interventions.

The position is salaried and structured around a 7.5hour workday with a caseload of five clients per day. You will have flexibility in how you structure your appointment schedule and will be supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team.

There are also opportunities to work across a range of services including our inpatient group program and outpatient day program.

This is a permanent part-time and hours are negotiable for the suitable candidate.

The Position

  • Provides individualised and group Psychological clinical care based on professional training reflecting current ethical clinical practice as required.

  • Provides comprehensive assessment and care planning monitoring client progress adjusting treatment accordingly.

  • Evaluates clinical outcomes and participates in research activities as required.

  • Liaise with all staff to promote effective communication including verbal and written feedback to referring Doctor.

  • Familiar and complies with legal ethical responsibilities to patients visitors and multi-disciplinary team members including maintaining confidentiality.

  • Participates regularly in clinical supervision and continues ongoing professional development through education.

  • Maintains appropriate clinical records reflecting adherence to hospital policies ACHS and legal requirements.

  • Contributes to the design and implementation

You will have Tertiary Qualification of Psychology with Provisional Registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA. Commitment to and working towards gaining General Registration with AHPRA .

To succeed you will have experience/ability to provide group programs and individual therapy using CBT DBT Schema-Focused Therapy and/or ACT modalities to child adolescent and adult clients presenting with a myriad of concerns.

  • Salary: $64567 to $97981 dependant on qualification and experience (pro rata for part time) plus 12% superannuation

  • Permanent Part time Role working up to 60 hours a fortnight
