Position Summary
Our client is seeking a Research Analyst to provide research data analysis and reporting support for a Calgary-based professional services team. This role focuses on collecting analyzing and interpreting market data to deliver insights that support decision-making and enhance overall research capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and support recurring and ad hoc research deliverables including market summaries reports presentations and written commentary.
- Assist with the collection validation and analysis of periodic market and industry data.
- Monitor market trends industry activity and relevant current events incorporating findings into ongoing research initiatives.
- Gather information from multiple sources and maintain accurate records within internal databases and research tools.
- Analyze data and communicate findings insights and recommendations through concise summary documents and presentations.
- Participate in collaborative meetings with internal teams to support research and business objectives.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Utilize data management analysis and query tools to support research initiatives.
- Support data quality consistency and documentation standards across research outputs.
- Identify opportunities to improve research processes efficiency and overall quality of deliverables.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Undergraduate degree required; education in Business Economics Analytics or a related field is considered an asset.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a research analytics or data-focused role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly and confidently.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications including Excel Word and PowerPoint.
- Experience with data visualization reporting tools or geographic data tools is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical organizational and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proactive adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced collaborative environment.
