Whitley Penn a leading CPA and Consulting firm is looking for a Tax Administrative Assistant to join our team in Addison. The Tax Administrative Assistant performs general and administrative tasks to ensure the successful daily operations of the office. The expected hours for the position are 7:45am 5:00pm with additional hours as required Monday to Friday.

How Will You Make an Impact
- Provide administrative support to tax professionals
- Oversee workflows in XCM with close attention to project deadlines
- Assemble and bind tax returns financial statements and various other reports
- Deliver tax returns electronically via secure portal
- Place catering orders as needed for meetings deadlines etc.
- Scan and maintain document library
- Maintain office equipment (i.e. changing toner stocking paper and organizing supplies)
- Stock and clean kitchen areas as needed
- Run occasional errands for the office (post office bank deposits etc.)
- Act as receptionist
Working Conditions:
- The work is typically performed in an office environment which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials boxes or equipment.
- Regular physical and predictable on-site job attendance.
- Must be able to lift or move up to 30 lbs.
How Will You Get Here
- Minimum 3-5 years of recent prior office experience preferably in public accounting.
- Proven ability to succeed in a fast paced dynamic environment
- Intermediate to advanced competency in Microsoft Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
- Understanding of softphone platforms (Teams Zoom etc.)
- Technical skills with the ability to learn and adapt to new software as introduced
- Experience with web-based workflow management solutions preferred experience with XCM a plus.
- Skills in the areas of time management organization written and verbal communication judgement and problem solving.
- Flexibility to work additional hours during busy seasons
- Willing to take on other responsibilities as needed
- Must be able to lift and/or move 30 pounds
- Valid drivers license safe driving record and proof of insurance
