Your role and responsibilities

You will play a crucial role in supporting families and ensuring that children have safe and positive Family Time sessions with their parents.

On a typical day you may:

  • Prepare and manage Family Time schedules ensuring smooth coordination of sessions.
  • Work closely with other Family Time Coordinators
  • Book rooms and arrange alternative community venues as needed.
  • Maintain dynamic liaison with Social Workers Foster Carers Family Time Supervisors parents and their wider networks.
  • Oversee Family Time data management and contribute to budget monitoring.
  • Ensure safety standards are upheld and provide positive input during Family Time sessions when required.
  • Supervise Family Time Casual staff to maintain quality and consistency.
  • Help ensure records are kept up to date to ensure safe and effective practice
  • Undertake building management tasks to support operational needs.

You will need

  • Experience working with children and families in a supportive role
  • Strong observational and assessment skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
