Job Summary
-Provides direct patient care for Outpatient care patients of all ages with diverse medical andnursing diagnoses.-Receives patients conducts proper patient identification x 2.-Intervention includes but is not limited to: Dressing changes; ambulation; assists with activitiesof daily living; range of motion - limited physical therapy; administering medications andvaccines as prescribed by the provider including all routes of administration PO IM IV etc);respiratory treatment and oxygen therapy; fitting of assistive devices splints or durable medicalequipment; patient education adjusted to appropriate level; urinary catheter placement;collection of tissue and biological samples venipuncture for collection of blood samples; andset-up for minor procedures following aseptic techniques.-Preforms nursing reassessments independently to evaluate patient response to nursinginterventions and updates/revises plan of care based on changes in health status andreassessments.-Housing - If available PRSU housing can be offered to ensure timely response during times of inclement contractor is required to pay rent for offered housing. The rental rate is determined by PRSU IHSGuidelines. PRSU IHS will invoice the individual renting. -Orientation - New Employee Orientation is required for all new staff occurs every other week & is held at the staff shall complete all PRSU required orientation trainings and mandatory and annualtrainings.
