Job Summary
Behavioral Crossroads Recovery is looking for a part-time Security Guardto join their team! This position will work up to 25 hours per week.
This position reports to the Regional Clinical Director and is responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly environment for clients staff and visitors at all times using verbal de-escalation techniques to manage tense or disruptive situations.
This position will monitor facility entrances exits and common areas to prevent unauthorized access and conduct routine patrols of the interior and exterior of the facility. The Security Guard will respond to incidents disturbances or emergencies and assist staff as needed coordinating with local law enforcement emergency services or crisis response teams when necessary.
Successful candidates for this position should meet the following qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED required. NJ SAMS experience also preferred.
- Previous experience in security healthcare behavioral health or social services preferred.
- Training or experience in crisis intervention de-escalation or trauma informed care strongly preferred.
- Law enforcement experience strongly preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
The successful candidate must have the ability to remain calm professional and compassionate in high stress situations possess strong communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately. Basic computer skills are required for incident report writing and other documentation.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay:$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
