The Senior Applications Development Manager leads and supports the planning design development implementation and maintenance of enterprise and program-specific applications in support of the mission and operations of the agency. This position will oversee the application development managers for all business units including Arizona State Hospital and will oversee the coding standards application documentation and change control processes for the agency. This position will ensure the proper oversight and management for all application development and will ensure compliance with any state or federal regulations.
| Job Duties: |
Coordinate with the infrastructure cybersecurity and data management teams to ensure systems are secure and properly integrated.
Supervise and mentor a team of application developers managers including performance management and professional development.
Collaborate with public health program leadership to assess application needs and deliver effective technology solutions.
Participate in the development of IT strategic planning and enterprise architecture initiatives.
Collaborate with the CIO and ITS leadership team to ensure up-to-date and compliance with ITS policies procedures and standard work.
Other duties as assigned as related to the position.

Knowledge of:
- Performance Management (PM) and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and Lean methodologies.
- Modern software development methodologies (Agile DevOps CI/CD).
- Broad and generally deep understanding of all facets of management and leadership as well as a vision for the specific business program/function being managed.
- Thorough working knowledge of most infrastructure technologies and in-house developed applications utilized in the enterprise.
- Thorough working knowledge of the organizations policies and procedures.
- Thorough working knowledge of the organizations methodologies and tools

| Selective Preference(s): |
Minimum 5 Years of supervision experience; 7 years of experience is IT applications development; Public Health or Healthcare industry experience preferred.

To help you build a financially secure future the State makes monthly contributions to finance your retirement benefit. The State will contribute to the ASRS in an amount equal to your other words you and the State will each pay 50% of the total cost of the benefit. New State employees have a 27-week wait period for contributions to begin.
