The Product Development Engineer is responsible for design validation and development support to the plant for diesel fuel injection system components. You will be supporting the engineering development team for diesel products in Kentwood-MI.
Core Responsibilities:
- Investigate functional and design issues on components.
- Support Local Production with Risk Assessments and Problem Solving.
- Support manufacturing to identify and reduce defects deviations from process and test specifications.
- Define and implement documentation for new releases of customer projects.
- Work closely with internal and end customers to define functional requirements and create the necessary documentation to communicate requirements to the manufacturing location..
- Define component validation bench testing (durability performance etc.).
- Perform bench tests of components.
- Complete tear down analyses of returned parts from customer as well as design validation tests to determine root causes of functional deviations.
- Create engineering reports upon completion of testing.
- Interact with internal Bosch cross-functional team members (manufacturing quality assurance project management purchasing sales and applications) as well as OEM customers.
- Collaborate with Engineering at other Bosch worldwide locations.
Qualifications :
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering mechanical engineering or related discipline.
- 1-2 years of product development experience in the automotive industry with a focus on diesel fuel injection system components.
- Well versed with following engineering tools: Shainin DFSS DRBFM or equivalent.
- Familiar with MS Office products (Outlook Excel PowerPoint).
- Ability to communicate collaborate effective with global teams.
