JOB OVERVIEW
Under the general guidance of the Hotel Manager the Retail Manager will oversee all aspects of the hotels retail operations ensuring a seamless elevated shopping experience that reflects the propertys brands aesthetics and service standards. This role is responsible for driving revenue curating product assortments managing inventory leading retail staff and delivering exceptional guest engagement while aligning with the hotels positioning.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain optimal stock levels by ordering merchandise promptly.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to minimize loss and manager shrinkage.
- Develop and implement merchandise displays that enhance the shopping experience and drive sales
- Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction through excellent service
- Address and resolve guest inquiries and complaints efficiently.
- Implement guest service programs that encourage repeat business.
- Recruit train and mentor gift shop staff.
- Schedule and supervise staff shift to maximize efficiency.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback.
- Develop sales strategies to achieve store sales goals and maximize profitability.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to promote special offers and events.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas of improvement.
- Maintain store cleanliness and orderliness.
- We recognize we are in the hospitality industry and that may require us to provide lateral service.
- We will on occasion call for each individual on the team to perform various related tasks as needed in the spirit of providing exceptional guest service.
Qualifications :
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
- 3-5 years of retail management experience preferably within a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail
- Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other team members and departments
- Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork
- Must be able to stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift
- Must be able to twist tow (push or pull) reach bend climb and carry objects as necessary
- Must have excellent communication skills and be able to read write speak and understand English
- Must be able to work inside and outside at all times of the year as needed based upon business volumes
