TheInstallation Engineer is responsible for installing configuring and testing hardware and software systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with client requirements across IT and telecommunications environments. This role supports the full installation lifecycle including pre-installation planning system documentation and on-site or remote setup. The engineer performs basic troubleshooting resolves technical issues and provides technical support to clients and internal teams. Strong technical aptitude adherence to safety and quality standards and the ability to follow established procedures are essential for ensuring reliable and efficient system deployments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation & Configuration: Physically install assemble set up and configure equipment networks software or machinery according to technical specifications and project requirements.
- Testing & Validation: Perform system testing verification and validation to ensure installations meet performance benchmarks quality standards and client expectations.
- Troubleshooting: Identify diagnose and resolve technical issues encountered during installation configuration or initial operation of systems.
- Documentation: Prepare update and maintain accurate technical documentation including installation guides configuration records test results and standard operating procedures.
- Client Support: Provide technical assistance system orientation and basic user training to clients or end-users to ensure effective system utilization.
- Compliance: Adhere to company policies industry standards safety protocols and relevant regulatory requirements throughout all installation and support activities.
Qualifications to be successful in the role:
- Solid technical knowledge relevant to the assigned field such as networking communications IT systems or related technologies.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to assess technical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with internal teams and clearly convey technical information to clients and end-users.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision demonstrating accountability and reliability in executing tasks.
- Adaptability to work in challenging environments including outdoor sites and varying or extreme conditions while maintaining safety and quality standards.
