Pay | : | HK$60488 to HK$ 87341 (HGPS Point 25 to 33) per month including Monthly Allowance Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance. |
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct and exercise quality control on medical laboratory tests and examinations in Newborn Screening Laboratory.
2. Assist SMT in setting up a quality system.
3. Assist in test setup in Laboratory Information System (LIS) and its testing.
4. Take charge of service of a section in the respective laboratory.
5. Participate in test method verification.
6. Perform shift duty according to service need.
7. Participate in continuous quality improvement exercise and risk assessment.
8. Train junior laboratory staff.
9. Active and major participation in laboratory accreditation.
Entry Requirements:
1. Be a registered Part I (full registration) Medical Laboratory Technologist and have a valid Practicing Certificate under the Allied Health Professions Ordinance.
2. At least 5 years experience in medical laboratory services.
Preferred Attributes / Exposure:
1. MSc in Medical Laboratory Science or equivalent (see remarks 2).

2. Contribution to professional development including research teaching and training.
3. Experience in evaluation of chemistry and immunoassay analyzers.
4.Experience in conducting and participating test method development and validation in chromatography and mass spectrometry assays.
5. Experience in molecular testing and operation of next generation sequencer.
6. Experience in LIS setup testing and coordinate equipment interfacing.
7. Solid experience in complying and maintaining all quality system essentials such as training and competency assessment internal auditing document control and continuous quality improvement activities.
8. Experience in developing technical specifications for major diagnostic equipment in clinical laboratories.
