Job Summary
Join our client a leading investment bank as a C Developer where you will lead the transformation of our digital landscape driving innovation and excellence. You will leverage cutting-edge technology to enhance our digital offerings and ensure exceptional customer experiences.
The team consists of global developers responsible for building the Low Latency Trading Platforms for the Equities sector. This platform is utilized worldwide to provide connectivity as a service to various trading partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with front and back-office business partners including Trading Market Risk and Finance to deliver new functionality that supports business growth and strategic initiatives.
- Work with existing leads to review the current platform architecture and recommend and implement enhancements focused on performance improvements simplification and technical debt reduction.
- Establish new connectivity to various exchanges and brokers and enhance existing connectivity solutions.
- Share expertise in specific technical areas to enable other developers to contribute to proposed architecture or technology adoption.
- Execute regular releases and ensure features are deployed to production promptly and with high quality.
- Provide second-line support to users of the platform.
Qualifications:
Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:
- Proficiency in C with a strong understanding of modern C features.
- Expertise in data structures and algorithms.
- Proven experience with multi-threading and the C standard library.
- Comprehensive understanding of C performance and low-latency practices.
- Familiarity with the Linux/Unix operating system and related commands.
- Experience in front office trading development on critical paths to exchanges.
Desirable Skills/Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in algorithmic trading with a high-frequency trading firm.
- Knowledge of user space networking including Solar Flare OpenOnload.
- Understanding of lower-level TCP/IP protocols.
