Radiation Oncology Director

Radiation Oncology at Nebraska Medicine is entering an exciting period of growth innovation and clinical excellence. We are seeking a dynamic visionary leader to help shape what comes next. This senior leadership role offers the opportunity to serve as both the Director of Radiation Oncology for Nebraska Medicine and the Administrator for the UNMC Radiation Oncology department. As director the focus will be on strategy operations and finances across multiple departments and off-site locations. The administrator responsibilities include partnering closely with our physicians and physician leaders on recruitment onboarding compliance and operations for the UNMC Radiation Oncology Department.

The Radiation Oncology Director will direct plan coordinate and lead the operations and strategic planning for Radiation Oncology to include clinical operations as well as research and academic initiatives and programs. Advise and assist the Department Chair in developing and implementing a comprehensive plan of fiscal accountability physical and human resource utilization and ongoing strategic planning for the department. Manage the fiscal resources for the UNMC department to ensure availability for operating funds and monitor the activities of the department staff as they relate to operational and financial matters. Develop and direct effective systems for radiation oncology patient populations to ensure optimal customer outcomes enhance service deliver goals meet or exceed financial margins and contribute to achievement of the organizations mission. lead coach and develop teams of people to achieve high performance standards and strategic objectives. Develops collaborative relationships internally and externally resulting in partnerships involving integrity and trust. Accountability for patient care delivery human resource management and compliance with private state and federal regulations for multiple departments and off-site locations under the cancer program.

Required Qualifications: Radiation Oncology Director

Minimum of tenyears healthcareexperience required.
Minimum of fiveyears leadership experience required.
Bachelors degree in nursing related healthcare or business required.
Current Registration in Radiation Therapy by American Association of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) required.
Ability to think and act strategically required.
Ability to lead others through development and empowerment required.
Ability to work with physicians and communicate complex information effectively required.
Demonstrated ability to manage change in a fast-paced environment required.
Ability to demonstrate an integrative systems approach to complex problem-solving required.
Effective analytical business and marketing skills required.
Knowledge of business health administration and information technology management required.
Ability to execute a strategic plan required. Possession of collaborative problem solver skills with a comprehensive understanding of outstanding customer service required.

Preferred Qualifications: Radiation Oncology Director

Masters degree in business or healthcare administration preferred.
Currently holding a professionalhealthcare license preferred.
