The Director of Accounting is a key member of the executive leadership team and is responsible for overseeing all financial operations including financial planning risk management reporting and compliance. The role also provides strategic input for business development investment analysis and operational addition the DA may provide oversight of HR functions and office administration in partnership with other department leaders. Lead financial strategy planning forecasting and long-term budgeting.
Oversee preparation and accuracy of financial statements; ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
Manage budgeting processes cash flow and capital allocation across multiple entities.
Partner with leadership to evaluate investment opportunities real estate projects and risk-management strategies.
Supervise and mentor the accounting team; ensure timely month-end and year-end close processes.
Serve as primary liaison with external auditors tax advisors and financial institutions.
Support HR and benefits strategy compliance and organizational planning.
Deliver financial insights performance reporting and strategic recommendations to leadership.
The Director of Accounting will provide specialized support in financial systems integration balance sheet management cash flow oversight valuation reporting banking supervision and executive-level financial consulting. Responsibilities include managing cash flow across trusts entities personal finances and investments while building comprehensive reporting structures. This includes investment tracking marktomarket updates ownership mapping and maintaining accurate personal financial statements.
Balance Sheet Accounting: Ensure accurate up-to-date financial statements.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage inflows/outflows across all organizational and personal financial structures.
Valuation Reporting: Update and assess asset values including market-based adjustments.
Banking Oversight: Supervise treasury functions account activity and financial transactions.
Consulting: Provide expert financial analysis and strategic guidance to leadership.
Track and monitor cash flow for all entities trusts personal financial structures and investments.
Create routine oversight reports and financial review processes.
Develop clear accurate reporting for cash flows investments and financial health assessments.
Track investment performance including marktomarket valuations and book adjustments.
Maintain ongoing assessments of investment performance and risk.
Map ownership structures and track any changes.
Maintain up-to-date personal financial statements (PFS) including beneficiary structures.
Work closely with internal accounting teams and external partners to ensure financial accuracy and alignment.
Perform regular asset valuation and monitoring.
Prepare detailed investment reports including performance updates.
Conduct financial and market analysis for new and existing investments.
Lead auditsboth individual investment audits and entity-level audits.
