Inviting applications for the role of Senior Principal Consultant Mainframe Modernization Engineer
We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Modernization Engineer to support the analysis transformation and modernization of legacy mainframe applications into scalable Core / .NET 6 solutions. This role will work closely with mainframe SMEs and application teams to ensure functional parity data integrity and seamless coexistence during phased migrations.

Responsibilities
Mainframe Modernization & Migration
Analyze existing mainframe applications built using COBOL JCL CICS VSAM and DB2 and map business functionality to architectures.
Participate in re-platforming re-engineering and refactoring legacy systems Core / .NET 6 applications.
Collaborate with mainframe subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand business rules transaction flows and data models.
Support hybrid coexistence strategies during phased migrations (mainframe systems running
in parallel).
Assist in defining migration patterns data synchronization strategies and cutover approaches.
Application Development
Design develop and applications using C# Core Web APIs and MVC.
Build microservices and RESTful APIs to replace extend or integrate with legacy mainframe systems.
Implement batch processing and scheduling solutions equivalent to mainframe batch jobs (e.g. JCL replacements).
Ensure applications meet high performance scalability availability and reliability standardsparticularly for financial transactions.
Participate in code reviews testing performance tuning and production support activities.

Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
B Tech
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Strong experience / .NET Core / .NET 6 C# Core and Web APIs.
Hands-on exposure to mainframe technologies such as COBOL JCL CICS VSAM and DB2 (analysis or development).
Experience with application modernization or legacy system migration projects.
Solid understanding of transaction processing batch jobs and data integrity in enterprise systems.
Familiarity with microservices architecture and integration patterns.
Strong analytical and communication skills to bridge mainframe and modern application teams.
Experience in financial services or banking systems.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and containerization (Docker Kubernetes).
Exposure to DevOps / CI-CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
Experience with message queues schedulers or workflow orchestration tools.
