Job Description:

A Post-doctoral Associate in Analytical Chemistry is available to work on mass spectrometry research led by Prof. Boone Prentice ( in the Department of Chemistry. We have a position available in our group to work on novel gas-phase ion chemistry tissue expansion protocols mass spectrometry instrumentation imaging mass spectrometry method development image and data processing and/or biomedical applications. As a member of our team you will be developing cutting-edge bioanalytical mass spectrometry technologies to enable unique insight into molecular pathology.

Must have PhD in Chemistry or a closely related field. This position will be initially awarded for one year and contingent upon strong performance and conduct and availability of funds may be renewed for up to two years.

Required Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field.

Preferred:

Experience with mass spectrometry (including imaging mass spectrometry)

Self-motivated with strong time management and problem-solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Enthusiasm for working on multidisciplinary projects
