Job Summary

Job Description:	A Post-doctoral Associate in Analytical Chemistry is available to work on mass spectrometry research led by Prof. Boone Prentice ( in the Department of Chemistry. We have a position available in our group to work on novel gas-phase ion chemistry tissue expansion protocols mass spectrometry instrumentation imaging mass spectrometry method development image and data processing and/or biomedical applications. As a member of our team you will be developing cutting-edge bioanalytical mass spectrometry technologies to enable unique insight into molecular pathology. Must have PhD in Chemistry or a closely related field. This position will be initially awarded for one year and contingent upon strong performance and conduct and availability of funds may be renewed for up to two years. UF is the states oldest largest and most comprehensive land grant university with an enrollment of over 50000 students and was ranked 6^th in the country among public universities (US News and World Report 2023 rankings) and 1^st among public institutions in the Wall Street Journal 2023 survey. UF is located in Gainesville a city of approximately 150000 residents in North-Central Florida 50 miles from the Gulf of Mexico and 67 miles from the Atlantic Ocean and within a 2-hour drive to large metropolitan areas (Orlando Tampa Jacksonville).
