Our client is seeking an experienced hands-onHR Managerto serve as the primary Human Resources leader for theirSan Diego location. This role partners closely with theWest Coast HR teamand local leadership to design implement and execute HR programs that support business growth employee engagement and operational excellence.
This position is ideal for a seasoned HR professional with deep knowledge ofCalifornia employment law strong execution skills and a passion for building compliant people-centered workplaces. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as theprimary HR point of contactfor the San Diego location
- Partner with regional HR leadership and local management to deliver HR programs aligned with company objectives
- Ensure full compliance withCalifornia employment laws and regulations including wage and hour leaves of absence accommodations and employee relations
- Lead and supportemployee relations matters including investigations performance management and conflict resolution
- Manage and improveonboarding and orientation programsto ensure a strong employee experience
- Conductlocal handbook reviews and updates ensuring alignment with state and company policies
- Lead and support HR projects such as employee engagement initiatives process improvements and policy rollouts
- Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees providing practical solution-oriented HR guidance
Qualifications
- Proven experience as anHR Generalist or HR Manager preferably supporting a multi-site organization
- Strong working knowledge ofCalifornia HR laws and compliance requirements
- Experience leading HR projects and initiatives from concept through execution
- Detail-oriented highly organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities
- Collaborative and relationship-driven with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
- Enjoys wearing multiple hats in a dynamic hands-on environment
