Under the direction of the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Medicine and in accordance with all NCAA Conference State and Institutional rules and regulations this position will perform athletic training duties that help ensure the health and safety of our student-athletes. The assistant athletic trainer will provide preventative care and treatments and rehabilitation support for student athletes as it relates to injuries or illnesses. This position is responsible for managing the evaluation documentation for the student athletes that they work with. The designated sport oversight of this position will be with mens basketball and secondary coverage of womens tennis. The assistant athletic trainer will also be responsible for assisting with various administrative functions as well as providing supervision of athletic training students in a clinical setting. Individual must know recognize and comply with the laws policies rules and regulations governing University and its employees and the rules of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the applicable Conference as now constituted or as they may be amended during the Term of this agreement. Employee shall take all reasonable steps to endeavor to ensure that all other employees for whom Employee is administratively responsible comply with aforesaid policies rules and regulations.

Graduated from a CAATE accredited Athletic Training Education Program
Certified Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers
CPR with AED certification as a healthcare provider
Masters degree in athletic training or related field
3 years of experience as a certified athletic trainer at the collegiate level
Experience with manual therapy skills and demonstrated ability to stay up to date with current trends
Current or past experience working with a collegiate basketball program
