Senior Project ManagerLocation: San Diego CASalary: $160000 - $190000OverviewThis role provides owners-side project management for a large ground-up hospital project in the San Diego region operating under OSHPD/HCAI regulatory oversight. The Senior Project Manager will lead all phases of design and construction coordinate multidisciplinary teams and serve as a trusted client representative to ensure the project is delivered safely compliantly on schedule and within budget while supporting operations within an active healthcare campus.Must Haves- 12 years of progressive experience in construction or owners-side project management
- Minimum 5 years managing California healthcare projects under OSHPD/HCAI regulatory oversight
- Proven experience delivering large-scale ground-up hospital or acute care projects in California
- Demonstrated success managing complex projects with budgets exceeding $100M
- Strong understanding of HCAI processes including design review permitting inspections and closeout
- Experience serving as an Owners Representative with direct client-facing responsibilities
- Ability to manage scope schedule budget risk and quality on projects within active healthcare environments
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering Architecture or a related discipline or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication documentation and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management platforms
- Valid drivers license with the ability to work full-time on site in San Diego
Nice to Haves- Direct experience working on childrens hospital or specialty care facilities
- Experience coordinating projects in occupied and operational hospital campuses
- Familiarity with DSA-regulated education projects in California
- Working knowledge of Primavera P6 Procore or similar project controls software
- Experience with hospital infrastructure including MEP low voltage IT and medical gas systems
- Strong understanding of Infection Control Risk Assessments and interim life safety measures
- Professional certifications such as DBIA CCM or PMP
Responsibilities- Serve as the Owners Representative overseeing all phases of a $100M ground-up hospital tower project
- Manage HCAI-regulated design and construction activities to ensure compliance quality and budget alignment
- Coordinate architects engineers contractors inspectors and consultants to maintain project objectives
- Review construction documents for completeness constructability and regulatory compliance
- Lead project controls including budgeting scheduling change management and forecasting
- Interface with HCAI officials inspectors of record and regulatory authorities throughout the project lifecycle
- Facilitate stakeholder coordination with clinical users facilities teams and executive leadership
- Lead project meetings maintain documentation and track decisions risks and action items
- Monitor construction progress safety quality and performance within an active hospital environment
- Identify and proactively mitigate risks related to schedule cost infection control and patient care impacts
- Oversee project closeout including testing commissioning documentation warranties and final approvals
