Job Summary

Position Title:

Certification Clerk Business Operations
Location: Phoenix AZ (On-site)
Agency: Arizona Department of Education (AZED) Certification and Licensing Division

Position Overview:

The Certification Clerk will provide administrative and clerical support to the Certification team ensuring efficient processing and management of certification applications and records. This role involves interaction with agency constituents including education administrators staff community members and families of Arizona students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Entry: Accurately enter and update information in databases and spreadsheets related to certification status and applicant details.
  • Record Keeping: Organize and maintain physical and electronic files for certification applications ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Mail Management: Prepare and mail certificates and related documents to applicants.
  • Provide excellent customer service and professional communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Position Details:
  • Type: Staff Augmentation
  • Hours: 20 hours/week
  • Shift: Day (Monday Friday 8:00 AM 4:30 PM)
  • Duration: Estimated 3 months (likely extension through 06/30/2026)
  • Start Date: 01/26/2026
  • Location: 1535 W. Jefferson St. Phoenix AZ 85007
  • Work Environment: 100% on-site business/business-casual dress code (no jeans).
Requirements:
  • Education: High School diploma or higher.
  • Experience: Previous clerical or administrative experience required.
  • Skills:
    • High-level PC proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook Excel Word PowerPoint Teams).
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Other:
    • Must be local to Phoenix AZ at time of submission.
    • Available for in-person interviews within 1 week of posting close date.
    • Must start within 2 weeks of offer.
    • Background check and fingerprint clearance required prior to start.
    • Authorized to work in the U.S.
