Job Summary

Job Title: Workday Solution Architect (Financials Accounting Center Public Sector)

Location: Atlanta GA (Hybrid) - (Local candidates strongly preferred out-of-state candidates are welcome to apply (100% remote))

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification

Responsibilities

Facilitate requirements confirmation sessions and assess existing solution designs; perform gap analysis and recommend solution options.
Architect scalable efficient Workday Financials solutions aligned with business requirements and integrated across modules.
Design develop and implement Workday Financials modules including Core Financials Banking & Settlements Accounting Center Revenue Management Contracts-to-Cash Record-to-Report Procure-to-Pay Grants and Projects.
Optimize Grants Management processes including Pre-Award/Post-Award Effort Certification Subawards Salary Cap and Award Budget Plans.
Collaborate with implementation vendors to design and optimize integrations using Workday Studio EIB BIRT REST/SOAP APIs and Prism Analytics.
Identify design and implement Workday Extend solutions to address functional gaps and improve operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with US GAAP federal grant guidelines and other applicable financial regulations.
Design and implement security frameworks data governance strategies and Foundation Data Model (FDM) structures.
Lead large-scale ERP migrations from legacy systems such as PeopleSoft to Workday ensuring minimal disruption.
Develop automated workflows for key financial processes including Payroll Reconciliation Revenue Recognition Expense Processing and Subaward Tracking.
Guide the development of advanced reports dashboards and analytics using Prism Analytics and Workday reporting tools.
Enhance financial visibility and decision-making through robust organization-specific reporting frameworks.

Mandatory Qualifications

Proven experience architecting and implementing Workday Financials solutions with seamless cross-module integration.
Strong hands-on expertise across Workday Financials modules including Grants Accounting Center Revenue Management and Contracts-to-Cash.
Advanced proficiency with Workday integration tools such as Studio EIB BIRT REST/SOAP APIs and Extend.
Demonstrated experience ensuring compliance with US GAAP and federal grant regulations.
Experience leading ERP implementations and large-scale system migrations from legacy platforms.
Active Workday Financials certifications including Core Financials Banking & Settlements Revenue Management Grants Management Accounting Center and Contracts-to-Cash (valid through 2025 R1).
In-depth understanding of financial data models security frameworks and governance strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting multi-tenant Workday Financials deployments within public sector organizations.
Expertise in designing and implementing Accounting Center for cash-basis reporting and advanced financial allocations.
Strong background in ERP migrations from PeopleSoft to Workday.
Experience working within Higher Education Public Sector or Not-for-Profit environments.
Knowledge of Adaptive Planning Prism Analytics and advanced Workday reporting capabilities.
