JOB TITLE: Accounting and Administrative Assistant
Employment Type: Full Time
Rate: 7-8 AUD/hour

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Bookkeeper with at least 2-3 years of hands-on experience with XERO to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and a proven track record in using XERO software. This role will also be responsible for handling various administrative tasks including but not limited to:

Qualifications and Skills
Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software (XERO)
Familiarity with finance regulations in Australia (prefers those who have worked for an AU business in the past)
Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
Experience in establishing and maintaining effective administrative systems and processes
Ability to work autonomously and as a team member
Strong communication skills
Proven experience in accounting and administrative roles.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience in Office365 tools
Experience in Dear Inventory Solutions is preferred but not required as long as staff is willing to be trained

Key Responsibilities
Basic data entry tasks for accounting assistants include logging transactions recording and reviewing journal entries creating invoices BAS and crafting spreadsheets.
Filing and reconciling invoices and identifying discrepancies - aligning payments to projects
Provide administrative support to the team including scheduling and preparing presentations organizing meetings taking notes and summarizing documents.
Create and maintain filing systems
Email monitoring and organizing
Handling incoming calls
Writing and maintaining records
Data entry from emails to crm
Report writing
Create groups and channels on teams
Communicate and liaise with key stakeholders services users families staff and advocates
