Contentious Trust & Probate Solicitor
Salary: 42000 - 52000 Bonus (DOE)
Location: York or North Yorkshire (Hybrid/Flexible Working Supported)
Experience: 2 years PQE (Civil Litigation/Contentious Trust & Probate)

The Opportunity
Manage a varied caseload including Inheritance Act claims will validity challenges estate administration disputes and trust litigation
Handle claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975
Advise on disputes involving will interpretation rectification and construction
Deal with beneficial and resulting trust issues TOLATA 1996 claims proprietary estoppel and property/land disputes
Support mediations and alternative dispute resolution processes
Act on professional negligence claims related to estate planning
Work alongside experienced colleagues in a specialist team supported by strong private client and property departments
Build and develop new and existing client relationships across a range of sectors including agriculture
What Were Looking For
Qualified solicitor with at least 2 years PQE in civil litigation contentious trust and probate or property disputes
Strong technical expertise in contentious trust and probate matters
Excellent client care and relationship-building skills
Determination to succeed and progress within a growing team
Initiative eagerness to learn and a commercial professional approach
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
