Lot Attendant is responsible for maintaining vehicle inventory and lot appearance. Additionally the Attendant is responsible for moving and cleaning vehicles and assisting the management team as requested. These activities shall be conducted while delivering the highest level of customer service in accordance with Findlay Volkswagens purpose statement and standards for excellence. The lot attendant may also be responsible for various other tasks that may be associated with lot and building maintenance. This position is considered non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
This will be a hybrid position with some desk time working with customers and phones in the reception area on a full day Saturday. Lot attendant duties will be part time during the week as scheduled by management. We can work with school schedules!

It will be required of the Attendant to stand outside on a hard concrete surface for extended periods of time. The employee frequently is required to walk. The Attendant is occasionally required to sit. Attendants must be ambulatory enough in order to access vehicles and maneuver around vehicles to ensure cleanliness etcetera. Some bending stooping and stretching may be necessary.

While performing the duties of this role the Attendant is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions including (but not limited to) summer heat and winter cold. It will at times be necessary for the Attendant to access vehicles that are extremely hot due to sun exposure. The noise level both on the dealerships lot service workshop and showroom will vary based on level of activity in and around these locations. Although the interior of the dealership is air conditioned there may be times when the temperature is warmer or colder inside based on the frequency with which building doors are opened and closed. Attendants may be subject to loud noises and the presence of exhaust fumes from vehicles. Attendants will be exposed to chemicals used as part of the detailed process. Attendants will frequently be in and out of customer and company vehicles.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
The lot Attendant role is a full-time position. Attendants will be scheduled for one of three daily shifts. The two shifts are early mid and close. Overtime may occur on high sales traffic days. Attendants will be scheduled off every Sunday in alignment with dealerships hours and at least one additional weekday per week. The additional weekdays may vary to accommodate the dealerships staffing needs. Attendants may be required to work all holidays except for Thanksgiving and December 25th each year. Additional schedule flexibility may be required. Many of the Attendants duties and expectations must be completed onsite at Findlay Volkswagen Henderson.
