Job Summary
Job Description:
A Senior Accountantmanages financial operations ensures compliance prepares reports analyzes data and often mentors junior staff handling complex accounting tasks like GL management reconciliations budgeting forecasting and month/year-end closes to support financial health and decision-making requiring strong analytical skills GAAP knowledge and software proficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting:Prepare and review monthly quarterly and annual financial statements (P&L Balance Sheet).
- General Ledger:Oversee GL maintenance complex journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Compliance:Ensure adherence to GAAP internal policies and tax regulations.
- Analysis:Conduct variance analysis (budget vs. actual) cash flow analysis and financial forecasting.
- Process Improvement:Identify and implement ways to improve accounting processes controls and efficiency.
- Audits:Support internal and external audit processes.
- Mentorship:Train and supervise junior accounting staff.
- Budgeting:Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks ERP systems) and advanced Excel.
- In-depth knowledge ofGenerally Accepted Accounting Principles(GAAP).
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

- Drives accuracy and integrity in financial data.
- Provides critical financial insights for strategic business decisions.
