We are seeking an eager motivated and customer-focused professional to join our team as Sales Operations/ Technical Sales Representative with a focus on EMCO HVAC products. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who brings a strong blend of sales drive technical aptitude and relationship-building skills to help grow market share and profitability at the Profit Centre.
In this role you will develop lasting ethical customer relationships while managing and growing accounts. You will become an integral part of each customers business by understanding their needs providing technical expertise and positioning the Profit Centre as their primary supplier.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect identify and develop new customers including builders designers and contractors; communicate viable prospects to the Profit Centre Manager
- Lead and own the sales process including territory planning sales call reports growth targets quotations and order processing
- Maintain and grow the HVAC markets by providing comprehensive technical product information troubleshooting recommendations and installation support
- Build and sustain effective working relationships with vendors and internal team members
- Support Customer Service Representatives and collaborate on all Profit Centre activities
- Participate in training sessions and vendor meetings to stay current on products trends rebates and offerings
- Follow all safety regulations within the Profit Centre
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Profit Centre Manager
Qualifications :
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; College and/or University degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service counter sales technical sales or business development
- Strong customer service communication and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to build long-term relationships with customers vendors and teammates
- Self-motivated results-driven and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook)
- Ability to learn and operate order-processing and internal software systems
- Intermediate math skills and ability to learn material handling equipment
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
- High level of integrity and strong work ethic
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience with or knowledge of HVAC products
- Ability to use the Internet as a research tool to problem-solve and identify alternative solutions for customers
Additional Information :
Salary Range - $42000-$45000 plus profit-sharing opportunities
