JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for all Security related aspects of assigned special events including creating and executing staffing and sweep plans for each production corporate internal youth and marquee event. Supervise and responsible for the development of hourly Team Members. Ensures all officers maintain standards set by the company and take corrective actions as needed.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the physical planning and execution of special events which includes Guest Security Screening and the movement/set up of metal detection equipment in remote locations. Ensure appropriate staffing utilization and provides work direction to hourly Team Members. Strategize and manage partnerships with the Security Operation and other departments by ensuring open and effective communication. Focus on intermediate short-term planning (0-6) weeks and look for opportunities to reduce event costs and minimize any negative Guest impacts. Develop and update all event related plans in the designated technology system in a timely manner. Communicate event staffing needs to the Scheduling team in advance notice to the schedule posting.
- Ensure the safety of Guests and Team Members and protect company assets from theft and other criminal activities. Maintain a constant awareness of Client and Guest needs. Responsible for the development of Team Members including training coaching and providing formal quarterly feedback. Drives front-line GSAT TSAT and safety initiatives to increase Guest and Team Member satisfaction and safety.
- Ensure Security Event equipment is organized stored in a safe manner and in good working order. Responsible for the regular inventory tracking and ordering of Security Event equipment and supplies. Support the Training program to ensure standards and procedures are being executed by providing immediate feedback to hourly Team Members.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy procedures training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- High school degree or GED required.
- Associates degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 1 years in knowledge of policies and procedures for the park and knowledge of Security required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A background check is mandatory and results must meet Universal Orlandos background check criteria.
