Hatfield is seeking two Environmental Technicians to join our Environmental Monitoring and Assessment Group in Fort McMurray Alberta.
Responsibilities:
Implement aquatic baseline studies operational and compliance monitoring programs aquatic impact assessments and habitat offsetting and restoration initiatives.
Work with interdisciplinary teams of environmental specialists and technicians to effectively deliver programs in conformance with local provincial and federal regulations.
Participate in field programs focused on environmental monitoring and assessment of aquatic habitats across Alberta and British Columbia.
Compile and interpret environmental data and support the development of technical reports.
Work extensively in the field occasionally in remote locations.
Education and Experience:
Environmental diploma . or working towards a higher degree in environmental sciences.
A minimum of 2 yearsof progressive work experience preferably in a professional consulting context.
General knowledge of federal and provincial environmental legislation and environmental impact assessment processes.
A valid Canadian drivers license for the past three years experience driving a pickup truck and the ability to meet the requirements for our third-party automobile insurance policy.
Other Assets/Skills:
Motivated team player willing to independently take ownership of specific tasks.
Ability to work in a dynamic consulting environment that requires flexibility and teamwork.
Excellent communication skills.
