Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on innovation-minded Mechanical Engineer to help design refine and bring to market products that are easier to install easier to service and built to last. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys ownership from early concept through production and who takes pride in translating real-world installer and builder feedback into elegant manufacturable solutions.


In this role you will work in close partnership with the Director of Engineering supporting new product development and continuous improvement efforts across our portfolio. Your responsibilities will include executing mechanical designs developing and reviewing system layouts and plans validating performance through prototyping and testing and supporting the transition from design to production. You will help ensure designs are accurate manufacturable and aligned with real-world installation conditions. Success in this role requires strong engineering fundamentals attention to detail and the ability to operate within a disciplined NPI process while maintaining a practical field-driven approach to design.


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Support the Director of Engineering in executing new product development initiatives from concept through production including design prototyping testing and release.

Develop detailed mechanical designs and drawings for pool equipment and accessories ensuring alignment with performance durability manufacturability and quality standards.

Create review and refine system layouts and plans ensuring hydraulic effectiveness proper coverage and installer- friendly execution.

Incorporate real-world builder installer and service feedback into design improvements and future product iterations.

Assist in prototype build testing validation and failure analysis to confirm designs meet functional and environmental requirements.

Collaborate with supply chain operations and external manufacturing partners to support DFM/DFA tooling readiness and production launch.

Maintain accurate engineering documentation including drawings specifications and revision control in accordance with NPI and ECO processes.

Support product certification and compliance activities as required (e.g. safety performance regulatory testing).

Provide technical support to internal teams (sales customer support training) related to product function and installation.


QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.

1-3 years of experience in mechanical design and product development preferably in consumer products industrial equipment or fluid-handling systems.

Strong working knowledge of mechanical design principles materials tolerances and manufacturing processes.

Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and detailed drawing creation (SolidWorks or similar).

Experience supporting products from concept through production including prototyping testing and design iteration.

Ability to read create and review technical drawings specifications and bills of materials.


PREFERRED SKILLS

Experience with fluid dynamics hydraulics or related flow-based systems.

Experience creating in-floor pool system layouts. (AutoCAD)

Familiarity with DFM tooling considerations and working with overseas manufacturers.

Experience supporting structured New Product Introduction (NPI) and Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes.

Exposure to product testing validation and root-cause analysis in real-world operating environments
