SUMMARY:
The Superintendent Tomlinson Infrastructure provides expertise applies the latest technologies and supervises qualified personnel. This position reports to the Operations Manager. This enables the Division to meet and address specifications and requirements from applicable agencies. The incumbent works directly with the Project Managers to ensure success of our projects.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop a solid liaison with our project managers to support and ensure success of our projects.
- Ensure safe work sites.
- Overall responsibility to ensure the crews meet the expected production levels without jeopardizing the quality.
- Monitor day to day operations of subcontractors and suppliers.
- Provides oversight to the field resources.
- Oversees the moving of equipment and crews daily to ensure the correct equipment and crew are onsite when required.
- Meet with field teams regularly to maintain open communications and ensure projects are proceeding correctly.
- Liaison with contract administrators and government agency personnel as required.
- Attends site meetings.
- Attend look-ahead meetings.
- Develops relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Attend cost control meetings.
- Fact gathering to help win tenders.
- Act as a liaison for QCA and QCT to track quality control and ensure quality plans are issued.
- Employee Management
- Writes and delivers evaluations and development plans with foremen
- Work with foremen to ensure quality crew are in place
- Manage 6-10 foremen and crews
- Work with others on a continuous basis to ensure information transfers both ways
- Attend weekly scheduling meetings to ensure proper use of labour materials and equipment.
- Ensure presence during critical events on the job
- Ensure quality control measures are undertaken during the course of the project

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Construction Engineering Technician Civil Engineering Technologist or similar education
- 10 years of industry experience
- 5 years of demonstrated effective people management experience
- Sewer & Water and/or Grading experience
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Working conditions are normal for a construction industry environment.
- Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
- Work requires regular travel.
COMPENSATION INFORMATION:
The expected salary range for this position is $100000 - $140000 annually. Placement within the range is dependant on a variety of factors including qualifications and experience.
