Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Investment Analyst / Associate to join our Investment Team in Canberra.

We expect the ideal candidate to have several years of professional experience in corporate finance investment banking M&A or similar with some exposure to emerging technologies as a preference. Critical to your role will be the ability to identify investment theses and key value drivers conduct deep market and sector research assess financial performance and projections and proactively support assess and report on portfolio companies as they mature.

The Investment Associate / Analyst will report to the Investment Principal and work within the wider Investment Team. You will work alongside experienced investors and founders gaining first-hand exposure to the venture capital process from sourcing and diligence through to portfolio management and realisation.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially and financially astute analytically minded individual who is passionate about technology innovation and venture building.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree with Honours or postgraduate qualifications in Finance Economics or Commerce
  • 2-5 years of professional experience in M&A corporate finance investment banking private equity or financial consulting
  • Strong financial analysis and modelling skills
  • Good understanding of the value drivers of commercial success
  • Confident learning about emerging technologies and assessing the relevant markets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
