Join our team in Palmerston North as the NZTA IDC Pavements and General Foreman.

Were seeking a proactive Pavements and General Foreman to oversee pre-seal repairs general construction and maintenance of the state highway for the IDC contract with NZTA in the Manawatu-Whanganui region. As a key member of our IDC contract you will supervise a skilled team in the pre-seal repairs general construction and maintenance of roads and paved surfaces while coordinating and planning daily schedules with the Operations Manager and ensuring completion of works to high standards and deadlines.

In addition to the above you will:

Take responsibility for all on-site safety making sure work complies with regulations and overseeing the ordering and delivery of essential materials machinery and tools.
Work closely with engineers site managers and clients to resolve issues and keep projects moving forward.
Supervise your crew in the construction and maintenance of roads footpaths and paved surfaces.

Were looking for someone with:

Full Class 2 licence and WTR endorsements
Proven experience in road and pavement construction and maintenance
Sound knowledge of pavement construction including compaction surface stability and experience preventing issues like subsidence cracking and potholes.
Proven experience in leading a crew and managing subcontractors
Experience in planning daily schedules allocate resources and ensure completion to high standards and deadlines
