Please Note- This is a fully remote position. American Water will provide remote contractors with equipment for their remote work site such as computer monitors laptop and docking stations. Any hardware or software purchased by American Water remains its property and will be returned at the conclusion of the Remote Work arrangement. Remote employees are responsible for equipping and maintaining their remote work site so that they can accomplish their work in a safe efficient and expeditious manner. The employee must have access to reliable high-speed Internet.(This will not be provided by the Company). If employee encounters connectivity or technical issues the employee must contact their Supervisor and the Helpdesk to seek resolution of the issues remotely. Employees must exhibit professionalism at all times. Employees must limit background noise when conducting business calls and must arrange for childcare and/or family care during workhours.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Manage New Service Inquiries received from Customer Service Organization via various workstreams (Notifications Emails or Business Process Exception cases).
Research and analyse these customer notifications regarding the ability to provide water / wastewater services to potential new customers to American Water.
Interaction with both internal/external business partners via phone and email regarding the ability to provide these services and application status.
Analysis of BPEMS (Business Process Exception cases) created from meter reading or techinical master data errors. These cases will require research and timely resolution to reduce estimates or account set up errors that may delay billing.
Key responsibilities include:
Effective communication skills a mininum of 2 years of customer service experience making outbound phone calls.
Root cause analysis for account research and Math Skills for calculations.
Computer experience including Microsoft Office applications.
Prior SAP experience preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS
High School Diploma or GED required.
Associate or bachelors Degree preferred.
