The Strategy Office guides and drives Berry Street Yoorallas strategic direction through planning data-driven insights and delivery of key initiatives including merger integration and business growth.

The Opportunity

  • CBD location on Wurundjeri Country
  • Full time Fixed term role (18 months)
  • $130K plus super & salary packaging

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of a therapeutic model of care within Residential Care services.

This is a delivery focused role suited to someone who has led complex people-centred projects in non IT environments particularly where success depends on working alongside practice experts operational leaders and frontline teams through significant change.

This role is ideal for a Project Manager who enjoys being close to delivery navigating complexity and translating models or frameworks into practical on the ground ways of working.

About the Role

Reporting to the Strategy Office you will:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of a major service model implementation within Residential Care
  • Work closely with practice experts clinicians and operational leaders to translate the model into day to day practice
  • Coordinate planning sequencing risk management and delivery activities across multiple sites
  • Support teams through significant change including roles and ways of working
  • Provide clear practical reporting on progress risks dependencies and milestones
  • Travel regularly to service locations to support implementation and engagement

This is not an IT project role. The work is practice led people centred and delivery intensive.

Location & Ways of Working

This role requires a mix of flexibility and presence:

  • Up to 2 days per week working from home
  • At least 1 day per week based in service locations (Ballarat Noble Park Preston Shepparton or Morwell)
  • Remaining days based from our Collins Street office
  • Regular travel is a core part of this role.

About You

To be successful you will bring:

  • Proven experience leading programs projects or service model implementations in not for profit social services child and family disability or community-based settings
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with subject matter experts and practice leaders who may not be familiar with formal project methods
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills particularly with teams experiencing significant change
  • A practical calm and adaptable delivery style suited to complex service environments
  • Sound foundations in project planning coordination risk and issue management
  • Confidence operating across ambiguity competing priorities and evolving contexts
  • This role requires non IT project management experience IT system implementation experience alone will not be sufficient.

  • Demonstrated experience planning execution monitoring and closure of projects using structured project management approaches.

  • Minimum 8 years experience in project delivery roles including managing end to end project lifecycles.
