About the role
Reporting directly to the MP&E Principal Spares & Disposals we are seeking a highly skilled HME Rotables & Warranty Advisor to join our team here at Rio Tinto.
In this role you will play a critical part in managing the warranty processes cost reviews and core return activities for rotable components associated with mobile equipment fleets across RTIO operations. You will collaborate closely with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders both in Perth and at operational sites to ensure efficient and effective management of these components.
Your main focus will include maintaining strong relationships driving compliance with warranty terms and optimizing cost control measures all while supporting the operational integrity and reliability of our heavy mobile equipment assets.
Key responsibilities will also include :
Facilitate warranty claims to resolution
Review and challenge add charges associated with rotable components
Ensure all credits / debits associated with rotable components are processed
Perform component teardown inspections with suppliers
Produce reports to support warranty cost review and core management processes
Act as a conduit between site maintenance and engineering teams planners OEMs and repair vendors
What youll bring
To be successfully considered for this role you will bring :
Strong stakeholder engagement and highly effective communication skills
Ability to interpret failure analysis and condition reports review quotes and manage costs
Mechanical trade or Engineering background
Experience in rebuilding mechanical components related to large heavy mobile equipment
Experience in or ability to quickly learn relevant SAP transactions
Positive mindset with an ability to negotiate effectively and positively influence stakeholders
A commitment to continuous improvement.

A C Class Manual drivers license

Where youll be working
This role will be based at our Operations Centre in Perth (near the Perth Airport). Our integrated iron ore network is supported by our Operations Centre (OC) in Perth a state-of-the-art facility that enables all the autonomous trucks trains and drills at our mines ports and rail systems to be operated from a single location.
The OC incorporates visualisation and collaboration tools to provide real-time information across our demand chain and allows us to optimise our mining maintenance and logistic activities across the Pilbara in a way never before possible. Located near the Perth domestic airport the OC operates 24 hours a day 365 days a year to coordinate our integrated network of mines rail and ports from 1500km away.
