Position Overview:

As part of the leadership team and reporting to the Managing Director the Asset Manager is accountable for the safety compliance availability and cost performance of Jinbidys mobile plant and equipment fleet across multiple projects. This is a hands-on role that balances day-to-day operational decision-making with lifecycle planning reliability improvement and disciplined cost control.

Based in Perth with ad-hoc site visits as required you will work closely with our operations manager site leadership workshop teams OEMs suppliers and client representatives to reduce unplanned downtime and drive continuous improvement across fleet performance and asset governance.

Key Responsibilities:

Own fleet performance outcomes across availability utilisation compliance and cost for a mixed owned/hired fleet.
Manage lifecycle planning (specification acquisition operation rebuild and disposal strategies).
Lead maintenance governance and reliability improvement including PM compliance shutdown/major works planning and RCA on critical failures.
Drive statutory and client/site compliance (inspections service schedules OEM standards and supporting documentation).
Support tendering process with commercial rates and review of terms for machines
Model pricing for all types of equipment to deliver suitable rates for machines both owned and hired.
Oversee repair scopes/approvals budgeting/forecasting and whole-of-life cost planning to reduce repeat failures and improve cost per hour.
Manage OEM/supplier performance (quality lead times warranty outcomes and service support).
Leverage Viper and CAT VisionLink to support SMU validation utilisation visibility and informed decision-making.
Fleet includes bulk earthworks/civil plant and light vehicles.

Qualifications and Experience:

Demonstrated experience managing mobile plant fleets in mining civil or heavy industry environments.
Strong technical understanding of heavy earthmoving and/or crushing and screening equipment.
Proven capability in maintenance planning cost control and reliability improvement.
Experience using fleet systems/telematics to support performance management; Viper and/or CAT VisionLink highly regarded.
Experience modelling rates with all required inputs and ROI calculations.
Holds strong network throughout the equipment market within OEMs clients competitors and service providers.
Strong stakeholder management across site workshop suppliers/OEMs and clients.
Strong commercial judgement problem-solving and communication skills with a safety-first mindset.
Mechanical trade or engineering background highly regarded (not essential).
Current C-class drivers licence; willingness to undertake ad-hoc site visits as required.
