In this role we are seeking an architect with good technical conceptual visual and communication skills to work in a highly collaborative and design focused studio. Leveraging your experience and technical acumen you will help drive a wide range of project types and sizes through all phases of design documentation and construction and lead interdisciplinary teams. About the Ohio Buildings Places Team
Our Ohio practice - anchored by large studios in Columbus and Cleveland - is one of the most established and highest-performing BP practices in AECOMs West Region. We offer a full suite of services: architecture interiors building systems and structural engineering urbanism and planning (including landscape) workplace transformation advisory services technology solutions and digital delivery - and serve as a Center of Excellence for many of these disciplines.
We work in a flat collaborative model across the West Region with other BP practices as well as with AECOMs Transportation Water and Advisory business lines to support vertical infrastructure and comprehensive solutions. US West Buildings Places Business Line has a vast market spread and geography providing opportunities across a wide range of project typologies including Science & Technology Advanced Manufacturing Commercial Aerospace Higher Education Industrial and Process Transportation Aviation Sports and Federal market sectors across the western United States and beyond. The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
Develop design concepts for the design lead and client review.
Prepare design and contract drawings using Revit and modeling/ graphics software.
Coordinate design efforts and deliverables of design consultants and project team
Assist with the management and mentoring of less-experienced project team members.
Provide technical leadership to assigned project to ensure design and technical excellence in the work produced with the context of schedule and budget.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS in Architecture plus six (6) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Knowledge of buildings systems and material.
Knowledge of local building codes.
Proficient in Revit with 3D modeling skills in Sketchup and/or Rhino.
Working knowledge of Photoshop Illustrator and InDesign.
Ability to produce design intent renderings and design concept diagrams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification as a LEED Accredited Professional by the USGBC
Ability to thrive in a collaborative open office work environment
Diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
