Controls Engineer

The Controls Engineer serves as a safety champion promoting a strong safety and ergonomic culture across Butler Manufacturing Operations. This role supports daily operations leads controlsystem projects and ensures equipment reliability and safety.

• Provide technical leadership to maintenance and operations teams.

• Actively participate in the VBS (Values Based Safety) Program

• Troubleshoot equipment and control system issues.

• Improve equipment reliability and safety through control modifications.

• Apply OSHA safety requirements and review new equipment controls.

• Lead process improvement and costsaving initiatives.

• Develop control specifications and support new equipment installation/startup.

• Standardize control hardware/software and maintain required networks/tools.

• Program and maintain AllenBradley PLCs and integrate production I/O and drive systems.

• Create electrical drawings for projects and equipment changes.

Qualifications :

• BSEE or equivalent preferred.

• Minimum 5 years of controls engineering experience.

• Manufacturing experience required.

Preferred:

• Experience with equipment builders/integrators Rockwell Automation software and Fanuc Robotics.

Additional Information :

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $70000 USD - $110000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range or be above or below the range based on factors including but not limited to education training experience professional achievement business need and addition to base salary employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance or a role-based sales incentive plan.
