Job Summary
Taskize is one of the most influential fintechs in pre- and post-trade automation trusted by over 550 financial firms custodian banks buy-sides broker-dealers and FMIs across 88 countries.
The web-native Taskize collaboration and workflow platform is used by investment operations teams including securities settlements corporate actions and collateral management. It drives operational efficiencies with tools that organise track and prioritise tasks and ultimately reduce risk increase capacity and improve client service.
Taskize is owned by Euroclear a leading global provider of Financial Market Infrastructure services.
The Role
As a Software Engineer at Taskize youll join a core team shaping our platforms future. Youll help design and build new capabilities that transform financial industry operations. Youll work collaboratively in a small agile team contributing at every stage of the development lifecyclefrom concept to production deployment. Youll gain exposure to all parts of our system and have the opportunity to learn and grow.
For this role you will formally be an employee of Euroclear SA but performing duties for Taskize using Taskize equipment and credentials. You will functionally report to a technical team lead at Taskize while formally reporting to a local manager in Euroclear SA who is set up in a similar fashion.
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain server-side Java applications
- Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment
- Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality reliable and scalable solutions
- Participate in code reviews testing and continuous integration
- Engage in DevOps practices and support operational excellence
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in server-side Java development (35 years)
- Proficiency it at least three of the following: web technologies user interface development messaging data modelling security concurrency resiliency networking caching and performance tuning
- Passion for reliability repeatability and testing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in a small highly productive Scrum/Agile team
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases (e.g. Postgres)
- Comfortable in a Mac/Linux environment
- Aptitude and enthusiasm for rapid learning and continuous improvement
Desirable Attributes
- Experience in a scale-up or fast-growth environment
- Hands-on involvement from design through to operations
- Familiarity with cloud platforms/services including Kubernetes
- Interest in or experience with DevOps practices
- Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
