Our units purpose is to develop and deliver Infotainment Connectivity and Car Cloud Platform and world-class digital user experience and also Complete Vehicle Diagnostics system and E2E platform for diagnostic monitoring & vehicle data collection. We create connected services from the car to the cloud.

As an Engineer at our Krakow Tech Hub you will be a part of an agile team working closely with other software engineers testers and architects. The team you will be joining is dedicated to developing and maintaining software for the infotainment system in Volvos best-selling model the XC60.

What youll do


The focus is on lower-level software particularly in areas such as housekeeping tasks (including power sequences and suspend to RAM) and diagnostics. Youll be working on analyzing and resolving complex issues often not just at the level of an individual component but across the entire system.


This role offers the opportunity to tackle challenging problems and make a tangible impact on the quality and reliability of Volvos infotainment experience all within a collaborative and pragmatic engineering environment.

What youll bring


To thrive as a Senior or Mid-level Embedded Software Engineer in Kraków Volvo Tech Hub you will need a robust combination of technical expertise and collaborative abilities.


We are seeking professionals who possess the following qualifications:


Technical Competencies

  • Demonstrated proficiency in AUTOSAR architecture including design and development processes.
  • Advanced skills in C programming within embedded environments.
  • Relevant experience developing software for microcontrollers.
  • Familiarity with the Renesas RH850 architecture.
  • Understanding of software quality practices to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Hands-on experience with automotive communication protocols particularly FlexRay CAN UDS DoIP and TCP/IP.
  • Knowledge of debugging tools such as CANoe and/or WireShark for effective troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency with development tools like Git Jenkins Gerrit or comparable alternatives.
  • Ability to work closely with hardware teams and interpret electrical schematics to support debugging activities.
  • Practical experience working with embedded systems.
  • Exposure to CI/CD environments and related automation tools.
  • Creativity and strong analytical skills for problem-solving in complex scenarios.
  • Familiarity with Python and Pytest specifically as test automation frameworks for Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing.
  • Knowledge of automotive safety standards such as ISO 26262 is considered an advantage.


Additional Qualifications

  • Fluency in spoken and written English to facilitate effective communication within the team and with stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to ensure productive teamwork.
  • Previous professional experience in the automotive industry especially within the software development domain.
