The Project

TheTram to Springvale Alliance (TSA) comprising CPB Contractors BMD Constructions and Arup has been selected to deliver the Eastern Freeway Upgrades between Tram and Springvale roads. The major upgrade includes new express lanes upgraded noise walls and revitalised sections of the Koonung Creek Linear Park.

The Project is being delivered under an Alliance Contract with Major Roads Projects Victoria (MRPV) as the Project Owner and TSA (CPB BMD and Arup) as the Non-owner Participants (NOPs). Together they form the Alliance working as one to deliver this critical infrastructure project.

As a key component of the North East Link Program (NELP) this project will provide a safer more efficient freeway connection for over 135000 vehicles daily removing 15000 trucks from local roads and reduce traffic across on the arterial road network crossing the Yarra River by 50000 vehicles per day.

Your opportunity

• Demonstrate a personal commitment to the SHE Cultural Framework policies Safety Essentials and Management System requirements and expectations.
• Identifying and documenting the cost management system needs
• Monitor performance train and develop cost management team
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and all relevant Company and Group policies and processes

Reporting to the Planning & Controls Manager theCost Managerwill sit within the project team and be accountable for:

• Cost forecasting and estimating
• Management of subcontractor claims for progress and variations through to final account.
• Ensuring contracts and conditions are suitable to project interests and contract conditions.
• Compilation of portions of head contract payment applications.
• Month end financial reporting.

Our minimum requirements for this role are:

• Tertiary qualifications in building quantity surveying or civil engineering.
• Experience in the administration and cost control ofconstruction projects
